Roving Imp workshops focus on improving the overall improv experience through tweaking of scene work. Classes can also be focused on a particular trouble area for you or your group. With a Roving Imp workshop, you can improve the quality of your shows, whether you do short form games or long form.

Character Toolbox

Do you find yourself playing the same three characters over and over? Do you wish you even had that many? With some techniques from the character toolbox, you'll find yourself creating brand new characters immediately, with no forethought required. You'll even amaze yourself!

IDA Supercharger

Nobody knows more about Improvised Duet Acting than the Roving Imp! Taught by actual IDA forensics judges, you'll not only learn exactly what judges are looking for, but you'll get to use actual professional improv techniques to blow away the competition in your next forensics meet. With past students placing at the Kansas state competition, you can't afford to miss an IDA workshop - you could be next!

Finding the Game

So you've gotten really good at having a scene with great characters, but are having a tough time finding the fun... you need help finding the game! This workshop is all about not only finding patterns in your scene, but also recognizing your own patterns so you can find your sense of play.

Nothing More Than Feelings

Are your scenes hilarious for about two minutes, and then fizzle out? This workshop will help you integrate your fun ideas with good emotional grounding, so that once the game of the scene is over, there's still somewhere to go.

Scenic Blitzkrieg

Not sure what the problem is? This workshop will give a general overhaul to your entire improv ball of wax. Using the improv you use during every rehearsal, we can diagnose and tweak your improv, so it'll run smoother than it ever has before.
